Daniel’s Lake Union Opens for Lunch; Daniel’s Leschi Upgrades
As Schwartz Brothers Celebrates 35 Years of Service to Seattleites

Bellevue, Wash. — Schwartz Brothers Restaurants, the region’s premier multi-concept restaurant and catering company celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, announces that Daniel’s Broiler Prime Steaks and Chops on South Lake Union in Seattle will be opening for lunch starting October 18; and that Daniel’s at Leschi Marina at 200 Lake Washington Blvd. in Seattle is being renovated to freshen its décor and provide a lounge area furnished with a uniquely American antique Farrand piano from the Mission era.

“In continuing to provide our clientele with the best possible entertaining and dining experiences at our Daniel’s Broiler restaurants, we felt it was important to make these moves,” said President & CEO Lindsey Schwartz, who assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer in August. Bill Schwartz remains as Chairman. “The South Lake Union area has grown to the point where opening our exclusively USDA prime steakhouse for lunch will meet a growing demand for dining excellence at lunchtime.” In addition to attracting more clientele from the expanded Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (The Hutch), the biotech industry and new upscale residences in the South Lake Union area, Daniel’s is also expecting to draw from the greater Seattle business community.

Daniel’s Lake Union Details

Daniel’s Lake Union will be open for lunch starting October 18 at 11:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Brian Still serves as General Manager and Lloyd Seaton serves as Chef. Located at 809 Fairview Place North in Seattle, this dockside restaurant overlooks Lake Union and has prime views of small craft, luxury yachts and floatplanes. Valet and self-parking are both available.

The lunch menu will include signature dishes, such as Daniel’s Steak 21, a prime filet mignon sandwich, steakhouse steak salad and a selection of the best fish and seafood including dishes such as fresh Alaskan King Salmon, King Crab and Copper River Salmon in season. All Daniel’s steaks, including filet mignon, are 100 percent USDA prime, the top two percent of all graded beef in the nation. The full selection of Daniel’s famous steaks and chops (including Delmonico, Porterhouse, rib-eye, and New York) as well as fresh jumbo coldwater rock lobster imported from Western Australia will also be on the daily lunch menu. Meals are complemented with offerings from an extensive Wine Spectator Award of Excellence wine list. A full bar, private in-house dining, off-site catering and other services and amenities are available.

Daniel’s at Leschi Marina Details

Established in 1980, Daniel’s at Leschi Marina was the first of the three Daniel’s Broiler Prime Steaks and Chops locations, and has a romantic ambiance all its own. Situated along a tree-lined boulevard on the shores of Lake Washington, this warm and intimate neighborhood hangout has been the scene of thousands of marriage proposals and wedding anniversaries. The new lounge area will feature an antique Farrand upright piano crafted in the style of Stickley furniture. Farrand was considered one of the finest pianos being made in America around the turn of the twentieth century and piano maker of choice to Frank Lloyd Wright. The new décor complements the existing dark wood finishes, onyx tables, high ceilings, and copper chandeliers. The renovation is scheduled for completion November 25.
