Daniel’s Broiler Wins 2005 Beef Backer Award

3/16/2006

(Seattle, Wash.) The Board of Directors of the Washington State Beef Commission presented the 2005 Washington Beef Backer Award to Daniel’s Broiler at the Leschi location on March 14, 2006, complementing the restaurant’s dedication to USDA Prime beef and sizzling quality.

“Great beef starts at the ranch,” explained Keith Pearce, Chairman of the Washington State Beef Commission, “so as producers we’re always proud when we see our product presented with quality, skill and enthusiasm by people that obviously share our passion for beef. Daniel’s Broiler is the perfect example of a steakhouse that knows its beef.”

“We are dedicated to offering our clientele only the finest beef in the nation,” said President and CEO Lindsey Schwartz. “It’s all about having a world class experience here at Daniel’s.”

Daniel’s Broiler, a Schwarz Brothers Restaurants concept, has three locations in the Puget Sound area and features only the highest quality USDA Prime steaks exclusively. A dedication to high quality and passion for classic beef dishes has proven the Daniel’s Broiler concept as elite among steakhouses with an eye for presenting extraordinary beef.

Honoring independent and chain foodservice restaurants, the Beef Backer Award is a prestigious program designed to recognize operations that set the highest standards in menuing and marketing beef. Beef Backer applicants submit entries to showcase their outstanding creativity and leadership in areas including innovative beef menu applications, utilization of new beef cuts, waitstaff beef training, and effective beef promotions.

“The quality of our staff is just as important as the quality of our beef,” said Lindsey Schwartz. “They are trained to explain the story behind each and every cut we serve and to ensure that all customers’ steaks are cooked just the way they like it.”
